Chestnut Ridge Picnic
The Chestnut Ridge Village Picnic was held on Sunday, September 22, 2013. We had a beautiful, sunny day. Not only did we provide an standby Ambulance for the safety of the community we had one of our units set up for tour and answering the community’s questions. We encourage people especially kids to come and see what it feels like so if they
are ever sick or injured and need an ambulance it does not seem as scary.

Building for the present and the future
After over 35 years of servicing the community from our small headquarters we are eagerly working on a project that would give us a proper facility and would have the space needed to hold community first aid classes. For updates on the project click here.
A New Delivery
We are excited to introduce our new ambulance 45B3 was built by PL Customs. What is more exciting is that due to the growth is our membership we have been able to expand our fleet from 2 to 3 ambulances which gives us the ability to provide more emergency medical to not only our village but to other surrounding communities as well.
When spent a lot time in the planning of this new ambulance we are using high efficiency lighting, new traffic controls, and better communication abilities all done to ensure we are providing the best emergency medical care we can in the quickest and safest manner possible. Include in our new ambulance is a new Stryker power Stretcher. The Stryker stretcher has a battery powered hydraulic system that raises and lowers the patient which reduces the chance of injuries to our crew members. We have applied for a grant to be able to upgrade our other ambulances with this new strecher.

EMS WEEK May 12 - 18, 2013
Recognize the EMT's and paramedics at your local Emergency Medical Services Facility to show them your appreciation.
We have gone Electronic
As of January 1, 2012 we have gone electronic patience care reports. (EPCR) Besides reducing the use of paper forms for every patience we come in contact with this allow the responding ambulance crew to have valuable medical information prior to getting to the person if we have had prior contact with them. Members of the community that notified us of any medical conditions or other important information prior to ever calling 911 for an emergency can be added into our data base so the responding crew has that information.
Light The Night
The William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps drove through neighborhoods as part of its 2010 "Light the Night" from 5 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 31. The corps members were making sure trick-or-treaters and their families were safe. The ambulance crews distributed glow sticks to the little ghosts and goblins, so that drivers will see the children more easily. "Light the Night" was also a chance for the community to interact with the crews in a nonemergency situation.
